drawing lesson.

Owkay....,
now let's talk about drawing...
in my opinion drawing is not about you can draw or you can not draw...
it's all about do you want to draw or not :)
when you think your drawing is bad, looking at your drawing once more...
try to finish it and color it up...., be patient...
think what do you want to draw, and just let your hand freely captured what's
inside your imagination...., let it flow :)
and remember..., appreciate your own drawing ok!

well, few days ago i went to imunk's sister house...
her son Fabian is sick, poor Fabian... :)
while i was there, i play around with Farrel, Fabian's big brother...
his Mom used to talk about this kids magazine "Bobo"...
she said Farrel really want his picture feature on Bobo magazine...
Farrel showed me the magazine, and when i read it i saw a page
where Bobo readers can show their own drawing not just their picture :)

Photobucket

i asked Farrel, does he got any drawing so i can send it to Bobo magazine
with his best picture too..., he said he hasn't got any...
so i asked him to draw with me, we took 2 piece of paper, one for him,
and one for me..., i asked him what does he want to draw..., he think and
think and finally he decided to draw himself, his lil brother and all cousins he got...

i was just accompany him, he asked me to draw this and that, so i draw all
he wants in my own paper....

Photobucket

he started to draw a simple type of person, and that wasn't bad at all...
i tried to support him, and asked him to draw another one...
i helped him to spell every single name beside or below each person he drew...
Farrel is a smart boy, he's only 4 years old but he can write and read so well...
we spent hours to draw together, and once he finished, i told him that there were
so many blank space on the paper and it looks not nice...
i asked him to draw the whole family including me and Imunk :)
i helped him to understand about the size of each person he drew...
the old one must be bigger or higher than the young one...
maybe it's quiet hard for him but i remind him every single time and he easily
understand what i mean...

we had dinner together, and after that we continue to draw again and finally
we color up all the people on his drawing...
he also need suggestion what color he have to use for color up the face and the
clothes..., i pick the pencil color for him and explain it to him why i pick that
color for the face, and he understood... :)
i asked him to pick different color for each person, and he really enjoyed...

and finally!!

Photobucket

isn't that a gorgeous piece of art...
i love love love love what he did...

Photobucket

well yesterday, me and Imunk's family had a dinner (buka puasa)
at Dapur Sunda, Bellagio..., i met Farrel's mom and dad...
and i asked him about the drawing that Farrel has made...
they said, they don't believe it because Farrel cannot draw a person yet...
i was a lil bit confuse, because i didn't teach Farrel how to draw a person...
i only accompany him, and make him understand about the sizing, about
the contuinity of each person he drew, and gave him a lil information
about the coloring...
well, i can be a kindergarten drawing teacher i guess :)

talking about drawing...,
i actually cannot draw that well..., but i always try to draw what i wanna draw...
everything started from yourself, if u really want to draw and u have that faith
in you, just grab a piece of paper and a pencil, then just sketch up your imagination...

Photobucket

a blank nice paper can help you to build your imagination...

Photobucket

Photobucket

start to collect your tools, pencil colors, crayon, etc...
take a shoe box or big pencil case and put them all on it...

trust me, everything begins from yourself...
do you want to draw or not :D

3 years ago, me and my friends created a small creative house...
4 of us decided to take 'monkey' as our identity :)
that time, we really need to creates our own company profile quick...
so i tried to sketch up the shape of monkeys...
as i remember, i didn't take along time to sketch, i only need
my time alone for few hours, and finally everything's done,
and everybody were happy with the result..., and we decided
to pick yellow as our id color :)

Photobucket

but now, my company is dead...
it's quiet hard to maintain a company tho...
really need a solid team with a same mission...
ok then..., that's my lil talk about drawing...
the conclusion is, if u think you can't draw..., think again ok :)
everything is all about you want it or not...
once u want it, try to achieve your spirit by collecting your basic
drawing tools..., after that let yourself be free in front a piece
of paper with all the imaginations inside your mind :)
as simple as that..., and remember again... appreciate your own
piece of art..., because once you appreciate it..., u'll reach a higher
skill level and it's so much funnnnnnnn.....

Happy DRAWING pals....
